Port Albert Fishing Clubhouse

Introducing Our Club

The Port Albert Fishing Club has been a proud part of the local community since 1992.

Established by a group of passionate anglers, the club was created as a place where people could come together to share their love of fishing, swap stories, and build a strong, community-focused organisation dedicated to promoting the sustainability of recreational fishing.

In its early years, the club held its first formal meeting at the Port Albert Hotel and continued to meet at various locations around town while members worked towards a long-term goal - building a home of their own.

Through dedication, fundraising, and strong community support, the club achieved that vision in 2007, establishing its clubhouse on Shire land behind the Port Albert Mechanics Institute Hall on Victoria Street in Port Albert.

Since then, the clubhouse has continued to evolve into a welcoming and comfortable venue for meetings, barbecues, and family-friendly social gatherings. It remains the heart of the club and a place where members can connect, learn, and enjoy the fishing lifestyle together.

The club meets monthly at this location to discuss club matters and plan activities, ensuring the organisation continues to thrive and serve its members well into the future.

As membership continues to grow, the Port Albert Fishing Club remains committed to fostering a supportive environment for anglers of all experience levels, whether seasoned fishers or those just starting out.

The Port Albert Fishing Club is a registered incorporated organisation with Consumer Affairs Victoria #A0032361P and holds a registered ABN 88 466 463 279.
